Federal Government Notifies 21 States of Election Hacking

“The federal government on Friday told election officials in 21 states that hackers targeted their systems before last year’s presidential election. The notification came roughly a year after U.S. Department of Homeland Security officials first said states were targeted by hacking efforts possibly connected to Russia. The states that told The Associated Press they had been targeted included some key political battlegrounds, such as Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.”  More …

Heathcare.gov to Undergo Maintenance During Crucial Enrollment Period

“As the latest effort to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act dies in Congress, the Trump administration isn’t slowing down its efforts to undermine Americans from signing up for health insurance… the administration has announced that healthcare.gov, the website most Americans use to sign up for insurance through the marketplaces put in place by Obamacare, would be down for maintenance for 12 hours every Sunday in the middle of the upcoming open-enrollment period.”  More …
